Thanks to a generous grant from Alfalfa Electric Cooperative and Co-Bank, our Research Center has been expanded. The beginnings of our Research Center were made possible by a gift from the Woodall family. This last year a generous grant from Alfalfa Electric Cooperative and Co-Bank made expansion of the research center possible. The center now has several features available to the family genealogist or the curious visitor. Our digital newspaper archives contain all Helena and Carwile newspapers and offer a search function to make research more efficient.
Our library contains books from Helena and the surrounding area and includes volumes from other areas of Oklahoma as well as other states. We are collecting genealogy records from area families and building photo and document archives. A kiosk linked to a 32-inch screen enables visitors to view the collection of photos and documents too delicate for display. We invite you to spend some time in the research center during your next visit!
